91,595 hours of volunteer service honored!
The California Pacific Medical Center’s esteemed and long-standing Volunteer Services Program came together on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at the Sir Francis Drake Hotel in San Francisco to recognize and thank the dedicated men and women who volunteer their time and talent at CPMC.
Director of Volunteer Services, Carole Burns; Chief Executive Officer Warren Browner M.D.; Mark Kimbell, President of CPMC’s Foundation; and Grant Davies, CEO, Sutter Health North Bay Hospitals & CPMC's Executive VP; thanked the volunteers for their many hours, years and even decades of service that make such a difference to the comfort and care of CPMC’S patients.
Awards went to individuals who had volunteered 1,000, 4,000, 5,000, 6,000, 7,000, 8,000, 10,000, 11,000 and 13,000 hours, with a combined total of 80,000 hours! As awards were presented and memories were shared, it became clear that the work of the volunteers was cherished by Medical Center staff, administration and most of all, the patients.
Arthur McDonald, Davies Campus information desk volunteer and Nick Razo, Pacific Campus liver transplant escort volunteer, gave heartfelt testimony about volunteer experiences.
Finally, Bill Fox and his crafts committee were thanked for the fabulous table centerpieces and podium decorations.
