Why volunteer?
Patients and their families are not the only ones who benefit from compassionate volunteer services. Volunteers who give of themselves also receive much in return – such as enjoying the satisfaction of a job well-done… feeling connected to the people you serve… exploring career choices within the health care profession … and much more.
Despite the pressures and pace of everyday life, thousands of men and women celebrate volunteerism and are taking the time to reach out to others. Their achievements in 2011 were priceless indeed: 91,595 hours of service were contributed to CPMC, for a dollar value of $2,214,767.
