Emergency Department Volunteer Training
Volunteers in our Emergency Department provide non-clinical assistance to patients and their families in the waiting room and in treatment areas. Duties include comforting families, providing patient advocacy, making up gurneys, restocking supply carts, etc.
We are seeking mature, compassionate volunteers willing to make a commitment of a minimum of 100 hours in our non-trauma Emergency Department. Must be a minimum of 18 years old. No summer students please. Attendance at our 2 hour volunteer orientation and 3 hour Emergency Department training session are required.
