Osteoporosis Program
In the United States more than 28 million people are at high risk of developing osteoporosis and women are at the greatest risk. Up to 1.5 million fractures a year are attributable to osteoporosis. Presently, 77% of all post-menopausal osteoporotic women go undiagnosed.
The Women's Health Resource Center offers bone ultrasound screenings of the heel using Achilles Express ultrasonometer and consultations with our nurse practitioner to discuss osteoporosis prevention and treatment options.
