General Women's Health
One-on-one sessions are available with Barb Silver, our nurse practitioner. Review an array of health concerns that may be significant to you, such as nutritional health, wellness issues, preparing for hysterectomy, sexual concerns, osteoporosis prevention and treatment, eating disorders and many more. Referrals to other health care providers for additional care or clinical testing may be provided.
Individual or group counseling sessions are available with Barb Silver, our nurse practitioner. Learn about menopause symptom management, hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and alternative modalities, lifestyle choices, osteoporosis, cardiac risk assessment, or any other issue of concern.
Barb Silver, RNC, M.S., FNP
Barb Silver, founding director and nurse practitioner of the Women's Health Resource Center at California Pacific Medical Center, has been providing women's health services for more than three decades. In 1996 she opened the Women’s Health Resource Center (WHRC), which offers services to thousands of women a year. WHRC serves the community with various programs such as The Ovarian and Reproductive Cancer Recovery Program and the annual Mini Medical School on Women’s Health.
Barb has published research on supportive care services for gynecological cancer patients, and participates in many hospital-based programs. She has served as co-chair of Contemporary Forums, which provides national conferences for health care professionals. Barb is board certified in Women's Health, Family Health and as a Menopause Clinician.
