California Pacific Medical Center Receives ACR Center of Excellence Designation

California Pacific Medical Center’s Breast Health Center on our California Campus has been designated an American College of Radiology (ACR) Breast Imaging Center of Excellence, the first San Francisco facility to receive this designation. ARC requires facilities be fully accredited in mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy and breast ultrasound in order to receive this recognition. What this designation means, is that we are dedicated to improving the women’s health going beyond medicine to provide our patients with the latest technology for diagnosing and treating breast cancers.

Early Detection

Early detection is your best defense against cancer. Not only can early detection save your life but it can also improve your long-term quality of life. This year alone over 21 thousand California women and men will be diagnosed with breast cancer.

Through our African American Breast Health community outreach program we offer free first-time breast screenings and free annual mammograms to African American women who live in San Francisco. Also, if you have been diagnosed with breast cancer our Breast Cancer Recovery Program assists women at any stage of treatment or recovery through supportive services and education.

California Pacific offers two locations for mammography services our Breast Health Center - Breast Imaging Center of Excellence at our California Campus and our St. Luke’s Breast Health Center located at our newest campus.
