Classes & Tours - St. Luke's
St. Luke's Hospital offers a choice of classes to help you prepare for your baby’s birth. We also offer tours of our Women & Children’s Center in English and Spanish. Childbirth Preparation Class—St. Luke's offers a one-day Saturday course to help expectant parents prepare for childbirth.
What to bring: wear comfortable clothing and bring your coach and one pillow. Also bring lunch or a snack. Coaches can be the baby's father, your mother, sister, or a friend who can take the class and be with you during labor.
Classes are held from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.

- Physical changes during pregnancy and labor
- Relaxation techniques
- Breathing techniques based on the Lamaze method
- Cesarean birth
- Anesthesia during childbirth
Maternity Tours—We provide free monthly tours of our Women & Children’s Center in both English and Spanish. In this tour, you will see our labor-delivery recovery and postpartum rooms, learn more about our doula program and free prenatal yoga classes, and what to expect upon your arrival at the hospital.
Call (415) 641-6911 to reserve your space. Meet at St. Luke's Hospital Lobby (3555 Cesar Chavez Street, San Francisco) at 4:45 pm. Tours are from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Prenatal and Postpartum Yoga—Offered by our Women's Center, free prenatal and postpartum yoga classes include meditation, visualization, breath practice and yoga poses to safely stretch and strengthen the body in preparation for labor, birth and recovery.
Prenatal Yoga classes are held on Saturdays from 9:45 am to 11:00 am in the Solarium.
Postnatal Yoga classes for parents and babies are held on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of every month from 11:15 am to 12:30 am in the Solarium.
