Normal Symptoms

  • Soreness of the abdomen
  • Mild uterine cramping

    Treatment
  • Rest and the discomfort should resolve within a few hours

    Call the physician if you have:
  • Leaking of fluid from your vagina
  • Bleeding
  • Severe cramping or pain
  • Decreased fetal movement

    General Care
  • Remain in an upright position (for example, standing, walking or sitting up) for the remainder of the day
  • Wear the elastic stomach band until your next visit to Antepartum Testing
  • No intercourse for 24 hours
  • Count the baby’s movements every day
