Dr. Belzer earned his Bachelor of Science degree at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his M.D. at Yale University. He completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at the University of California San Francisco and a fellowship in sports medicine, arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery at the Southern California Orthopaedic Institute.
Dr.Belzer served as an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and Assistant Director of Sports Medicine at UCSF. His interest is in arthroscopic, reconstructive and replacement surgery of the shoulder, knee and elbow and has presented research on these topics nationally.
Dr.Belzer is an orthopaedic specialist for the Golden State Warriors Basketball Team, member of the clinical facuIty at UCSF and continues teaching UCSF orthopaedic residents at the Veterans Administration Medical Center. He is also on the medical staff at the Veterans Administration Medical Center.
