    Trauma Resiliency Model Training

Trauma Resiliency Model Training (Level 1) is a three-day course designed to teach skills to clinicians and non-clinicians working with children and adults with traumatic stress reactions. These skills are biologically-based and focus on the way the human body reacts to stress and fear by stabilizing the client's nervous system, reducing and/or preventing the symptoms of traumatic stress. Trauma skills are also useful as a self-care stabilization model for clinicians and other staff who work in the aftermath off catastrophic events. The approach is integrative, and focuses on the biological basis of trauma and the reflexive, defensive ways the body responds to threat and fear.

    Clinical Applications of Deep Imagination

Growing research documents the benefits of guided imagery within a psychotherapeutic approach, as it taps into both the wounds and inner resiliency that often lie below the conscious level of awareness. Imagery is especially effective for trauma, anxiety, illness, and grief, as well as boosting creativity and enhancing the transpersonal aspects of therapy. This experiential workshop is for practicing healthcare professionals who want to develop fluency in working with a client's symbolic inner life as an effective way to facilitate therapeutic goals.

Workshop: Saturday May 5, 10:00am-5:00 pm
Location: 2040 Webster Street (at Sacramento)
    Instructor: Leslie Davenport, MS, MFT
    Cost: $125 (includes CEUs)
CEUS: 6.6 CEUs for social workers, marriage and family therapists and nurses (LCSW, MFT, RN)
