Holistic nursing participants focus on developing skills to assess and plan an approach that includes integrative medicine and spirituality for a variety of patient populations. The program also educates you about integrative theory, modalities, and practice. The aim is to deepen the spirit of compassion, intuition, and understanding. Education takes place at California Pacific Medical Center.

Core Curriculum
We teach three domains of focus so that your unique healing abilities are fully embodied in patient care.

1) Discipline-Specific Training advances your understanding and proficiency in your specialization while developing a therapeutic presence.

2) Professional Development includes the use of the action/reflection model, goal setting and self care practices.

3) Collaborative Team Approach is the program's "signature" element, giving you a unique opportunity to work within a team of conventional and integrative medicine providers to create treatment plans.

Internship Prerequisites
Applicants must have a current California Registered Nurse License. Healthcare experience in an in-patient setting is recommended; and BLS is required by the hospital. CEU credit for applicable classes is pending.

To Apply
The application process includes submitting a written application and a personal interview. There is a $65 application fee.

Enrollment
The program begins in September, and applications are accepted starting in January. The program requires a 500-hour commitment over a one year period for training and clinical practice. Because students often find the program to be rigorous, the application process favors experienced health professionals or those who want to learn in a supervised clinical setting. Clinical placement is dependent on hospital priority, department need and student requests.

Program Fees
The fee for the program is $2,800, payable in advance of the program. There is a non-refundable deposit of $600 due upon acceptance.
