Giving as Receiving

When asked what inspires Mrs. Roberta Neustadter most about the Institute for Health & Healing, she replied unequivocally, "I love the people and the friendships I've made." She also commented that it gives her a great sense of pleasure to give back to the community. Mrs. Neustadter hopes that more and more people become convinced of the power of integrative medicine and are able to access it. There is no doubt, Mrs. Neustadter is greatly appreciated by many for her support of complementary medicine in San Francisco. Thousands of people have been touched by the programs she supports.

We are delighted to have honored Mrs. Neustadter at our annual event in February 2005. She received the Compassionate Caring Award for her ongoing support of the Institute for Health & Healing. Several years ago, Mrs. Neustadter started our Scholarship Fund which provides care to those who are unable to afford our classes and services. She has also funded our Mini Medical School Lecture Series which has brought indigenous healers, leading experts in the field of complementary medicine, scholars and poets to provide lectures on health and healing free-of-charge.
