Insurance Coverage & Payment Policies for the Clinic
We are happy to announce the Health & Healing Clinic can bill PPO & POS Insurance and Medicare for medical visits, acupuncture and integrative psychotherapy.
Please be aware that your insurance plan may not cover all of our services, and it may have a cap on the number of allowed visits for some treatments, like acupuncture and psychotherapy. We strongly encourage you to contact your insurance company to learn about your plan, co-pays and whether or not you have met your annual deductible.
Please bring your insurance identification card(s) with you on the day of your appointment. Co-payments are required at the time of service for all visits. The Clinic accepts cash, personal checks, Visa and MasterCard.
Since massage and bodywork treatments are not typically covered benefits, payment in full is required at the time of your appointment. If you would like to seek reimbursement for these services from your insurance company, you can use our bill of service as documentation of your visit. Our front office staff is happy to explain this process should you need assistance.
HMO insurance requires members to receive pre-authorization to be seen at our office, and our services are often not covered. If you have an HMO, please contact your insurance representative directly for more information.
All patients of the Health & Healing Clinic are financially responsible for for any costs incurred that insurance refuses to pay. If you receive a bill you do not understand, please do not hesitate to contact our office so we can assist you.
If you do not have insurance or if your insurance plan does not cover our services, you are still welcome to come to the Clinic and pay our discounted self-pay rates.

Cancellation/Missed Appointment Policy
If it is necessary to reschedule or cancel your appointment, it is important for you to notify us as soon as possible. Because practitioner time has been dedicated to your appointment, we charge a $50 late cancellation or no-show fee if we do not receive notice a least 2 business days (48 hours) in advance of your appointment. To notify us, please call (415) 600-3503, Monday through Friday, between 9:00am and 5:00pm.
