Phillipa Criswell’s background working as an emergency room nurse in the 1970’s and 80’s in San Francisco and Marin County. made her aware of the many medical choices available to patients in the healthcare system. However, only when faced with the illnesses of her young husband and brother-in-law, did Phillipa realize the extent of alternative medical choices available.

She is grateful for the medical care they received and for the staff being open to what was then characterized as an “out on a limb” treatment, which is now considered “mainstream." Phillipa is eager to reach out to the larger community and share with them the integrative medical programs offered by the Institute for Health & Healing.

Phillipa works and lives in Marin County as a realtor and looks forward to spending time with her daughters, who live in Manhattan and Hermosa Beach.
