Debby received her JD from Boalt Hall in 1980 and practiced corporate law until 2002 in New York, Paris and San Francisco. Debby enjoys volunteering in her community, and served on the Redwood High School Foundation Board and as President of the Redwood High School Scholarship Fund.

Debby was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2002 and underwent several surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation treatment. She supplemented these treatments with acupuncture, jin shin jyutsu and guided imagery, all of which she found very helpful in enduring the treatments and improving her overall energy and health.

In 2003, she joined the Advisory Board of the Bay Area Jewish Healing Center in San Francisco. She is currently a tutor for Back on Track and a provisional member of the San Francisco Opera Guild. She was also an active volunteer in the 2008 presidential race.

Debby has two children and lives with her husband in Marin County.
