Sakti Rose, MA, SEP is a seasoned meditation practitioner who teaches mindfulness techniques to help people facing life-threatening illness, bereavement issues, sleep and eating disorders, depression, anxiety, and other stress-related illnesses. She creates a calm, tranquil environment where students can deeply relax through focused attention and breathwork.
Sakti brings over three decades of teaching experience and body-oriented clinical psychotherapy to her work. She trained with Jon Kabat-Zinn, founder of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and is a certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP). Sakti received her Master’s degree in Contemplative Psychotherapy from Naropa Institute in Boulder, CO. For the past 10 years, she has taught mindfulness meditation in hospital settings, meditation centers, and corporations throughout the Bay Area.
The meditation approaches Sakti uses are based on ancient techniques developed thousands of years ago. Today, under her care and guidance, these techniques can instill feelings of well-being, confidence, and rejuvenation to restore the body, relax the mind, and calm the spirit.
Sakti teaches Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and sees patients for individual appointments.
