An Apple a Day - An App a Day: Addressing Silicon Valley Syndrome
Silicon Valley is the tech capital of the world with unlimited wealth, world class health care providers and endless benefits and resources offered by companies to keep employees healthy. Despite these luxuries, physicians and health care practitioners in the valley are inundated with patients facing chronic physical and mental health conditions from diabetes and autoimmune disease to chronic stress, anxiety and depression. This seminar will explore the underlying behaviors and habits that drive “Silicon Valley Syndrome” and how Dr. Ron Sinha and Dr. Akil Palanisamy, are blending modern medicine, ancient science and innovative solutions to help people lead healthier lives.
"Silicon Valley Syndrome: A Modern Problem with Ancient Solutions"
Dr. Palanisamy will talk about the evolutionary mismatch between our busy Silicon Valley lifestyle and how human beings have evolved to live, and then talk about some natural solutions to help correct this evolutionary disconnect. He’ll talk about specific dietary changes, lifestyle practices, and mind-body techniques.
"Silicon Valley Survival Strategies: Apps for Optimal Health"
Dr. Sinha will explore some of the behaviors and thought patterns that compromise the emotional and physical health of Silicon Valley professionals. He'll discuss technology-based solutions to help individuals and families restore balance in their lives.
