At California Pacific Medical Center, we are committed to providing the highest quality of coronary care in San Francisco and reporting publicly on our performance. We track and report data on our cardiac care program in San Francisco as well as our heart transplant program, specifically.

In fact, CPMC was recognized for our commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of care for heart attack patients, resulting in being given the American College of Cardiology Foundation’s NCDR® ACTION Registry®–GWTG™ Platinum Performance Achievement Award for 2012 – one of only 168 hospitals nationwide to do so.

Many of the metrics we use have been chosen by federal and state agencies and other organizations as measurements of high quality medical care for some of the most common and costly conditions that hospitals treat. They measure whether important, recommended medical treatments are given to achieve the best results for patients.
