Congenital Heart Disease
Nearly one million adults in the United States have congenital heart defects. This number is increasing, and includes both those who have not had surgery and those who have had palliation. There exists a wide range of patients, from those with coarctation of the aorta who are doing well but need periodic monitoring, to those who have a single ventricle physiology (Fontan procedure) and need close management.
It is recognized that for optimum management such patients need specialists with interest in and knowledge of congenital heart disease. California Pacific physicians, Robert Popper, MD and Andrew Rosenblatt, MD have worked together to create an environment where such patients will receive optimum care.
Non-cardiac specialists and social service providers are also essential, so that all the needs of this unique group of patients can be addressed.
California Pacific Medical Center’s Pediatric Cardiac Program is comprised of experienced physicians at the forefront of medical & surgical techniques and treatments for Congenital Heart Disease in Infants, Children & Adults as well as Marfan’s and Other Heritable Cardiac Syndromes.
