Cancer Survivorship Program
The Cancer Survivorship Program at California Pacific Medical Center was developed with the patient and their family members in mind. Today a cancer diagnosis is no longer considered the end of the road. Instead, the day a person is diagnosed with cancer they are considered a survivor. However, we understand that receiving a cancer diagnosis can be devastating. Therefore the Survivorship Program is here to evaluate the unmet needs of survivors and their families, to assist with healthy lifestyle adjustment, social support and enhance one’s quality of life. The team works with each individual by addressing their needs and identifying appropriate educational and community resources to improve and manage the long-term impact of cancer.
The Survivorship Program cultivates a community of cancer survivorship at California Pacific that provides ongoing support to survivors and their families, focusing on positive adaptation, health promotion, and disease prevention.
Get involved. Cancer survivors are welcome to attend our monthly Survivorship committee meetings. At these multidisciplinary meetings we plan our annual Survivorship Conference, discuss ways to improve the Survivorship Program, as well as oversee and maintain the survivorship program.
