Putting Patient Safety First

Leapfrog Patient Safety Ratings

The Leapfrog Group is a voluntary program aimed at mobilizing employer purchasing power to alert America's health industry that big leaps in health care safety, quality and customer value will be recognized and rewarded. Among other initiatives, Leapfrog works with its employer members to encourage transparency and easy access to health care information as well as rewards for hospitals that have a proven record of high quality care. Leapfrog Patient Safety Ratings

The Leapfrog Group conducts an annual voluntary survey to determine which hospitals are leading the country in these areas. California Pacific has been chosen a Leapfrog "Top Hospital" for three consecutive years, one of only five hospitals in the nation to earn that distinction.

Go to the Leapfrog Group site to view California Pacific's progress at implementing the Leapfrog-recommended quality and safety practices, as compared to other hospitals in San Francisco that participate.
