John F. Forbes, M.B., B.S., B.Med.Sci, M.S.
John F. Forbes has been a Professor of Surgical Oncology in the Discipline of Surgical Science, Faculty of Health at the University of Newcastle, the Director of the Department of Surgical Oncology and Director of BreastScreen NSW Hunter Region and Wyong Shire at Newcastle Mater Misericordiae Hospital, and the Directoy of Operations Office, and National Coordinator for Clinical Trials at Australian New Zealand Breast Cancer Trials Group Ltd for almost 30 years. Ten years ago he also became the Medical Director of the Breast Cancer Institute of AustraliaTM. He received M.B., B.S., B.Med.Sci, and M.S. at the University of Melbourne and completed his postgraduate work at the Cancer Institute in Melbourne. As a member of the Da Costa Advisory Board, Dr. Forbes extensive research in breast disease and breast cancer in conjunction with numerous didactic presentations on breast disease, breast cancer and surgery provides him the prerequisite comprehensive experience.
