    Journal Club

    The purpose of the Journal Club will be to provide a forum to present important papers, discuss the current literature, develop skills in critical reading and analysis, to expose colleagues to new ideas, provide insight into novel or cutting edge technologies, and to provide an opportunity to for an exchange of ideas and critical insight into how a particular technology, study and or manuscript might be improved.

    The Journal Club will be held the 2nd Tuesday of the month in the Brannan Conference room, number 214. Everyone is strongly encouraged to attend and participate. Attendance will be particularly important for Post-docs and students, since this process will be a critical element in their development as a scientist and their overall scientific education.

    SF Coordinating Center Science Meetings

    The San Francisco Coordinating Center holds meetings every Friday from 1 - 2 pm at 185 Berry Street, Classroom 6704. These meetings cover a range of topics and include journal club discussions; work in progress presentations; statistical analysis workshops; and presentations from visiting scientists.
