    At the end of the life of a grant, NIH requires three items to be submitted within 90 calendar days (not three months) of the end date of a grant. Grants Analysts only have access to the FFR.

    For more information on each section, click on the links below.

    1. Final Invention Statement Opens new window(Confirmed by Legal, prepared and submitted by the Principal Investigator, approved by SO (Director of Grants & Contracts)).
    2. Final Progress Report Opens new window(Prepared and submitted by the Principal Investigator after review/approval from Grants Analyst, approved by SO (Director of Grants & Contracts))
    3. Final Financial Status Report (FFR)Opens new window (The Final Financial Status Report is to be prepared by the Grants & Contracts Analyst, reviewed by the SO (Director of Grants & Contracts) and should be signed by the Principal Investigator.)

    After you log in at eRA CommonsOpens new window, click on “Status”
    Then Click on “List of Applications/Grants”
    Then click on “Requires Closeout” of the grant on which you are reporting
    Upload Progress Report by clicking on “Process Final Progress Report”
    Click on “Process Invention Statement”
    Email Director of Grants and Contracts (DGC)
