Volunteering
California Pacific Medical Center receive thousands of hours of work from our compassionate group of 1000 in-service and community volunteers. Volunteers who give of themselves also receive much in return – such as enjoying the satisfaction of a job well-done, feeling connected to the people you serve, exploring career choices within the health care profession, and much more.
The Research Institute offers volunteers a variety of opportunities and specialized training during in the following areas.
- Administrative & clerical support in general research administration. Tasks may include filing, and data entry.
- Basic research laboratory support which may include assisting our scientific staff with conducting work in the laboratory in one of our research program areas. Since special training are required, individuals with science/laboratory background are preferred.
- Clinical research: assisting our clinical research coordinator staff in the conduct of drug and device trials. Tasks include data entry, document processing, general administrative support, and additional opportunities for individuals with medical background.
