Donations

Research laboratories and clinical research groups require funding from extramural (outside CPMC or Sutter Health) sources to carry on their work. Funding for reserach comes from three main sources:

1. government sources;



2. various foundations, medical specialty groups, and gifts from individual donors; and



3. biotech and pharmaceutical companies.

California Pacific Medical Center and its Research Institute are not-for-profit, community-based institutions. Generous gifts from private donors ensure that our scientists can continue to pursue important leads to the causes of diseases and that our patients have access to the most current and cutting edge equipment and treatments.
