The CPMC Department of Ophthalmology sponsors a full academic year of continuing and resident education.
Rounds & Lecture Series
During the academic year, weekly Grand Rounds are held at 8:00 AM every Monday, immediately followed by a lecture in the weekly subspecialty topic as well as ocular pathology. Residents also participate in weekly Friday morning lectures, a monthly Wednesday evening discussion of topics in ethics, a monthly Thursday evening oculoplastic surgery lecture, a monthly retina lecture or fluorescein angiography conference, microsurgery lab sessions, and journal club discussions in each of the major subspecialties.
