Internal Medicine

Program Director Introduction
Paul Aronowitz, M.D.

Welcome to the California Pacific Medical Center Internal Medicine Residency site! First of all, let me say that you will gather the best information from our Frequently Asked Questions section, and sense of community about our residency by reviewing our newsletter, Riprap, and speaking with our residents. You can request past and current copies of our newsletter by e-mail. You'll have a chance to talk with residents if you visit us for a clerkship month or when you are on the "interview trail."

I will distill all things I could possibly say to you about the program down to a couple of sentences in this small space. Our Internal Medicine (preliminary and categorical) program distinguishes itself on two fronts. One, there is a strong sense of community here, and two, there is a tremendous patient diversity. This diversity is both in terms of race and ethnicity and also in cases that you will hear about and manage. I hope you will review this website and our newsletter, and will apply here!
