If you don’t have friends or relatives in the SF Bay Area we would suggest starting with craigslistOpens new window, UCSF's housing listOpens new window, or SFGateOpens new window. Clara Rubin-Smith, our medical student program coordinator, also has occasional “leads” on student housing.

Where to play

Residents, interns, office staff, nurses, hospitalists and other attending physicians tend to be a great source for recommendations. You can also log on to SFGateOpens new window for lots of happenings around the Bay Area.

How to get around if you don’t have a vehicle

San Francisco has a very good mass transit system. We suggest you start with Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART)Opens new window and San Francisco MuniOpens new window. California Pacific has shuttles to and from the Civic Center BART and Muni stations, and to all its campuses from the main Pacific Campus.
