Vaccination Information

Prior to starting a clinical clerkship at California Pacific Medical Center, the medical student must provide written proof of the following:

Rubella and Rubeola vaccination or laboratory results indicating immunity.

Hepatitis B vaccination or a signed declination statement indicating that the vaccine has been offered by the student's employer and that the student has declined to take the vaccine.

Proof of a negative TB skin test (PPD) within the past (3) months OR for those students with a history of a positive TB skin test, proof of a negative chest x-ray within the past six months.

In the event of an occupational injury or exposure (needlestick, body fluid exposure, etc.), the medical student's school will be responsible for providing the student with information on where to obtain the appropriate medical services as well as epidemiological follow-up of the medical student and patient, if possible.
