Upcoming and recent meetings
Services provided at the California Campus will be transferred to either the Cathedral Hill Campus or the Pacific Campus once those projects are completed (projected 2015-2020).
Plans for the California Campus:
- During construction of the Cathedral Hill Campus, Women & Children’s services will continue to be provided at the California Campus.
- Once the new hospital is built, Women & Children’s services will be transferred to the Cathedral Hill Campus.
- Preliminary plans call for the sale of portions of the California Campus once programs and services are transferred. These plans are not final and the campus will continue to be used for medical purposes until at least 2020.
- Major advances in health care could create new opportunities for the California Campus. Options for this campus include creating a Continuum of Care Retirement Community or a Gene Therapy clinic.
- Ancillary services will continue at the California Campus, including imaging and laboratory services.
Beyond Medicine
Nelle and Astrid are part of CPMC's Child Life staff - a team of specialists that serve as advocates for children and their families when they're in the hospital. In 2008, CPMC opened the Pediatric Emergency Department, dedicated to children ages birth to 18. Once completed, the new Cathedral Hill Campus will be the new home of Women and Children's programs and services.
