What is Child Life? Hospitalization, medical procedures, illness and pain are often fearful times for children. California Pacific provides support to children and their families through our Child Life Program. Our goal is to minimize stress and promote healthy growth and development during your child's hospitalization. How can we help? We help to educate patient and family about medical procedures and diagnosis; accompany child through medical procedures; teach pain management and coping skills; promote continued growth and development; provide activities to help create a "home like" environment; help brothers and sisters to become involved in the hospital experience; and supervise therapeutic activities.
