Childbirth Preparation
Three Week Series
DATE RANGE: Open ended
Classes draw upon a variety of techniques including Lamaze, Bradley, Read and Simkin. A certified childbirth instructor prepares expectant mothers and their partners for birth. The series includes instruction in relaxation and breathing to reduce the discomfort of labor, alternative labor and birth positions, massage, the partner's role, hospital and possible medical procedures, medicated and non-medicated labor, anesthesia and cesarean birth. Select a series that will end approximately 4 to 6 weeks before your due date.
Classes offered as a 3-week series on the first 3 Fridays of each month. This class includes 2 1/2 more hours of instruction. For fees, class times and other information, please call 415-600-BABY (2229).
