The achievements of this past year 2007 are priceless indeed. Over 1128 in-service volunteers contributed 96,277 hours of volunteer time. Here is just a sampling of the impact of the volunteers at California Pacific Medical Center.

Pacific Campus volunteers
Information Desk - Averaged 2.44 contacts with family members of each surgery patient.
Cardiac Catherization Lab (CCL) - Volunteers averaged 2.3 contacts per patient, contributing to increased patient satisfaction scores of 90.9% and 92.7%.

Surgical Waiting Room - Averaged 2.44 contacts with family members of each surgery patient.

Davies Campus volunteers
Rehabilitation Terrain Park - The Guild donated $60,000 for the fountain in the Rehabilitation Terrain Park at the Davies Campus. The Fountain is named in honor of Dr. and Mrs. Forcade who left a generous gift to the Guild.

St. Luke's Campus volunteers
Baby Cuddler Program - Cuddlers visited with 91% of all potential patients admitted.
Emergency Department - St. Luke’s Auxiliary and Junior Auxiliary held their annual fundraisers with proceeds being donated to the Emergency Department at St Luke’s campus.

Knitting needles are flying!
44 knitters contributed 325 blankets to the pediatrics and NICU patients. The knitting of these blankets totals over 10,000 hours of time. Click here to learn more about the Woodywoof project.
Volunteer Community knitters in the Bay Area, Scotland and England donated 1000 knitted baby caps to the nursery at St. Luke’s.
About $10,000 worth of baby layette items donated by members from the Episcopal Church were distributed at the St. Luke’s campus.
The Holiday Boutique committee held 4 craft sales at the campuses. The proceeds of approximately $3800 will be used to purchase one or two Pulse Oximeters.
