You are the soul of the medical center

Volunteers in our Emergency Department provide non-clinical assistance to patients and their families in the waiting room and in treatment areas. Duties include comforting families, providing patient advocacy, making up gurneys, restocking supply carts, etc.

A free training class is offered, and we require a 100-hour volunteer commitment. For more information, please call the Volunteer Department at (415) 641-6490.

Because life is precious, we encourage giving to life
and a lifetime of giving.
