Funding Priorities: Cardiac Care
Your support makes a difference
Cardiac Catheterization Lab
Funding Need: $2,400,000
Today, heart valves are replaced in open-heart surgery, with a large team working on the patient for more than two hours. The incisions have gotten smaller, but the operation is still a big deal. Your gift will help move this life-saving procedure from the operating room into the “cath lab,” where it will be done in under 30 minutes, through a small needle puncture. Hospital time? Under 24 hours instead of several days. As an added bonus, the images will be so clear that other previously undetected problems will show up and get handled immediately, instead of requiring a second appointment.
