African American Breast Health

The Need: $360,000

Consider making a profound gift to community health via our African American Breast Health Program, which provides breast health outreach and education along with a wide range of clinical screenings and breast cancer treatments at no cost to African American women in San Francisco’s underserved communities. The Program recently expanded to include its Sister-to-Sister Project, providing the same culturally- sensitive breast care services to women from Filipina and other Asian/Pacific Islander, Latina, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) populations, as well as women under 40 with a family history of breast cancer. Bayview Child Health Center

The Need: $650,000

Reducing health disparities in the Bayview Hunter’s Point community and providing equal access to quality pediatric health care is the mission of the Bayview Child Health Center. Since its opening in March 2007, the Center has had a significant impact on the lives of many children and their families. Your philanthropic support continues affordable primary, acute and preventive care services for medically-underserved children, as well as wellness, prevention and education support. Kalmanovitz Child Development Center

The Need: $350,000

The Kalmanovitz Child Development Center is the largest evaluation and treatment program serving children and their families in Northern California and the only one in San Francisco to offer comprehensive child development services. The Center’s goal is to provide diagnosis, evaluation, treatment and counseling for children with learning disabilities, developmental disorders, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and Autism Spectrum Disorders. St. Luke’s Pediatric Care

The Need: $500,000

Philanthropic support ensures that St. Luke’s Pediatric Clinic can provide pediatric care to some of our community’s most vulnerable children whose families’ health care options are often limited by language, location and income. With four physicians and a nurse practitioner – all fluent in Spanish – the Clinic provides a full range of pediatric care to every child who needs it, regardless of a family’s ability to pay for services. St. Luke’s Women’s Services

The Need: $100,000

St. Luke’s provides high-quality, affordable obstetrical and gynecological health care services to women of San Francisco’s underserved Mission District, South of Market and surrounding communities, where few of its ethnically diverse patients have private health insurance. Your generous gift ensures that a full-time social worker continues to help uninsured and underserved women gain access to government medical insurance and provides other social support services. Women's Health Resource Center

The Need: $350,000

The Women’s Health Resource Center, located on the California Campus, annually provides more than 10,000 women a location to obtain current health information, resources for well-being through classes and support groups, and compassionate care for women with cancer. Your help furthers the Center’s goals of enabling each woman, in all her diversity and across her lifespan, to take the very best care of herself, regardless of her ability to pay for services.
