Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day
Shaping career aspirations!
They came. They saw. They had a great time. Thanks to the generosity of CPMC Foundation, 162 kids participated in Take Our Daughters and Sons To Work Day at CPMC held April 24, 2008.
They learned how to intubate a “patient,” watched a live shoulder surgery, practiced swaddling a baby, measured their heart rates, got a digital image of their eyeball, calculated prescriptions, got x-rays, learned how much sugar is in common drinks, saw real breast cancer tumors, and even tried guided imagery.
Thanks to all of the CPMC departments that hosted sessions for the kids, as well as to all who volunteered as chaperones. Special thanks to Bronwyn Smith, Christina Szeto, Darlene Perata, Grace D’Anca, Jay Edwards, Lucinda Formyduval, Paula Lykins and Teri Theuriet for serving as campus leaders.

Consider making an online donation today to California Pacific Medical Center. For more information on making a gift, contact CPMC Foundation. Thank you!
