58th Annual Mardi Gras Ball
On March 5, 2010, The Little Jim Club of CPMC presented the 58th annual Mardi Gras Ball and coronation of the monarch. This authentic Mardi Gras celebration raised money for the Autism Social Skills Play Group and Project Jason (in-home child development specialists for at risk infants). Both programs depend on philanthropic support to provide service regardless of a family’s ability to pay. These programs are available through CPMC's Kalmanovitz Child Development Center.
This year, Mr. Jerry W. Mapp, President Emeritus of California Pacific Medical Center Foundation. served as the Honorary Chair of the Ball, overseeing the coronation of the Mardi Gras Ball Monarch, the candidate who raises the most money for Little Jim Club. for more information, visit the Little Jim Club's website.
About the Mardi Gras Ball
The Mardi Gras Ball has been a San Francisco tradition since 1955 and is produced entirely by the volunteer members of The Little Jim Club. This annual fundraising event attracts candidates from all walks of life to compete for the honor of Mardi Gras Ball King or Queen, an honor awarded to the candidate who raises the most money for the club, benefiting CPMC pediatrics programs. The Little Jim Club is currently providing funding assistance to CPMC's Kalmanovitz Child Development Center.
