Exemplary Leadership

On June 1, 2009 Jerry W. Mapp, long time President & CEO of CPMC Foundation moved to the newly created position of President Emeritus. He will continue to be active in his new role working with the many donors, friends and supporters of the Medical Center that have come to know him so well. At their May 2009 meeting, the CPMC Board of Directors passed a resolution honoring Jerry and thanking him for his 25 years of outstanding service to the institution.

Jerry is the rock on which CPMC Foundation was built and we are grateful for his extraordinary leadership, generous spirit and great vision. Highlights of Jerry’s accomplishments include helping to raise over $300 million with an average of $12 million annually over a 25-year period.

On March 7, 2010, the Institute for Health & Healing will honor Jerry Mapp with the Compassionate Caring Award, reserved for individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to the health of the community.
