Foundation Thanks Outgoing ChairGail Glasser
Early Commitment to Medicine
Before joining CPMC Foundation’s Board of Trustees, Gail Glasser demonstrated a tireless commitment to science, medicine and health care that has been going strong for over 30 years. While serving as Board Chair for the Medical Research Institute (CPMC Research Institute today from 1988 through 1990, Gail began her involvement with the Pacific Presbyterian Foundation Board where she also served from 1987 to 1991. When Pacific Presbyterian merged with Children’s Hospital in 1991 to form California Pacific Medical Center, Glasser was invited to join the Foundation’s Board of Trustees.
Goals and Accomplishments
Gail has now completed serving a term as Chair of the Board of Trustees from 2006-2008. “She has served the Board as its exceptional Chair, leading it with poise and grace,” notes Jerry Mapp, Foundation President Emeritus. “Gail leaves a tremendous legacy and a hard act to follow,” says incoming Board Chair Dick Watts. “She’s hit some tremendous fundraising goals. I see my job as keeping that ship on track.”
“Trustees are truly privileged to be part of the family at CPMC and should stand proud for what they do as Ambassadors of the Medical Center,” explains Gail. “She guided us through three very successful years of fundraising,” Mapp recalls. The Board of Trustees celebrates Gail’s service and her invaluable, steadfast commitment to the Foundation.
Because life is precious, we encourage giving to life and a lifetime of giving.
