Jerry W. Mapp Chair
Chaired by the President/CEO of the Foundation, membership consists of the separately incorporated affiliated organizations of the Medical Center. The purpose is to provide a forum between the Foundation and our affiliates listed below to encourage cooperation and coordination of events.

Finance Committee

Responsible for the identification, recruitment, and nomination of candidates to fill vacancies on the Foundation Board and to recommend annual nomination of officers.

Strategic Planning Committee

Connie Mardikian Vice Chair
Identifies issues related to the strategic planning of a capital campaign. Makes recommendations in the following areas: 1) public relations and external/internal image building; 2) campaign fundraising methodology; 3) accounting methods as they relate to a major capital project; 4) Feasibility Study and Attitudinal Study; 5) staffing and organizational structure of the Foundation in preparation for a major capital project.

Coordinates the fundraising subcommittees to avoid duplicative efforts and share best practices. Reviews the fundraising efforts of each subcommittee.

An oversight committee related to individual major gift efforts. Committee members are expected to carry a portfolio of donors and demonstrate leadership in the individual major gift area.

An oversight committee responsible for fundraising efforts as they relate to foundation, corporate and vendor prospects. Identifies new foundation/corporate/vendor donors; available for key solicitations and cultivation events when Trustee participation is needed.

Planned Giving Subcommittee

Barbara Murphy Vice Chair (non-board volunteer)
Comprised of attorneys, accountants, planned giving donors, and estate and financial planners. This committee actively promotes contributions to the Foundation through the use of advantageous tax, financial, and estate planning techniques and advises and assists staff and Board on planned gift matters.

A committee of leading CPMC physicians who raise the visibility of philanthropy within the physician community and work to promote philanthropy in the community.

Grants & Disbursements Subcommittee
Mrs. Evan R. Peters Chair
Marston Nauman Vice Chair
Makes recommendations and policy oversight regarding the uses of unrestricted donations and net earned income from the Foundation’s Board Designated Funds. Working closely with the President of the Medical Center, reports the uses of these donations and income to the Finance Committee for their approval.

Comprised of members from the CPMC Board of Directors and the CPMC Foundation Board of Trustees. This committee oversees the process of administering and investing charitable funds.
