    Bayview Child Health Center Grows!

(L-R) Daniel Lurie, Tipping Point Community; Malia Cohen, San Francisco Supervisor; Emily Webb, CPMC; Dick Watts and Suzannah Cowell Rodriguez, CPMC Foundation; and Sarah Hemmer, M.D.

CPMC opened the Bayview Child Health Center in 2007 in response to an important community need, including expansions made possible by a caring collaboration between Bayview Child Health Center, the Center for Youth Wellness, the San Francisco Child Abuse Prevention Center, and the philanthropic partnership of CPMC Foundation with Tipping Point Community and many generous individual donors.

In 2014, CPMC worked closely with South of Market Health Center (SMHC) to secure a federal grant and transfer clinic ownership to SMHC. This transition ensures financial sustainability and high-quality health care for Bayview families for the long term. CPMC continues to provide financial support to BCHC and works with clinical leadership to support the clinic’s operations and mission.

The new South of Market Bayview Child Health Center (BCHC) continues the original goals of delivering high-quality health care close to home for children in the community. For more information, please visit the South of Market Health Center web site or contact the clinic at (415) 697-0500.

CPMC Foundation would like to thank the many generous donors who gave
their support to the former Bayview Child Health Center.
