Giving Opportunities in Transplant Services and Research
"We can provide the highest level of care with the sole focus on patients and their families.” ¾ Steven Katznelson, M.D., medical director, CPMC Kidney Transplant Program
The Barry S. Levin Department of Transplantation is nationally ranked as one of the top transplant programs in the country with survival rates among the best in the nation. Our history dates back to 1969 when surgeons at California Pacific Medical Center performed the hospital's first kidney transplant. Since then, more than 6,000 people have received the "gift of life" through kidney, liver, heart and pancreas transplants.
Through your generosity you can empower physicians and their teams to provide the best patient care, drive groundbreaking research and enable the education and training of the next generation of transplant physicians. Your gift can be a catalyst in advancing the best in transplant outcomes for patients, provide meaningful impact and transform lives in a profound way.
100% of your philanthropic investment goes directly to the CPMC organ transplantation program that most inspires you.

Sutter Health's CPMC can now perform simultaneous transplants involving eight to ten patients, thanks to new cloud-based software developed by a grateful CPMC kidney patient that matches donors with recipients. Watch the video "Pioneers in Kidney Transplant at CPMC"
