Key Areas of Care:
At CPMC, philanthropy provides resources beyond what daily operations can fund to innovate, expand and increase access to the exceptional care we provide in a more personal way. Together we form a powerful and vital healing partnership for our community.
From screening and diagnosis to treatment and survivorship resources, CPMC provides comprehensive and individualized Cancer Services. We're at the forefront of cancer research with the Cancer Avatar Project, where scientists are developing a new approach to move beyond the current paradigm for treating cancer.
At CPMC’s Kanbar Cardiac Center, cardiac ablation techniques improve the lives of over 450 patients each year. CPMC is currently ranked among the best three hospitals in the world for the treatment of atrial fibrillation and one of the best in the U.S. for treatment of heart failure.
Our doctors work side-by-side with physicians from Stanford Children’s Health in more than 25 pediatric specialty areas including cardiac, cancer, diabetes, epilepsy, autism, GI and more. Each year, thousands of babies and children receive expert, compassionate care at our Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Pediatric Emergency Department, Novack Family Child Life Services, inpatient units and outpatient clinics.
CPMC’s Neuroscience Institute joins together some of the best neurosurgery, neurology, and neuro-oncology specialists in our region. Featuring highly-advanced diagnostic equipment and surgical technology, we offer patients and their families full service, integrated neurological care.
CPMC's Research Institute brings clinicians and scientists together to discover improved treatments and diagnostic technologies that translate to improved outcomes at the bedside. Philanthropy allows investigators to conduct and expand innovative research in cancer, aging, arthritis, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, epilepsy, infectious diseases, addiction, pain, neurodegenerative diseases, and osteoporosis, among others.
Caring for the whole person also involves keeping pace with technology innovations to help patients attain the best possible outcomes with less time and lower cost for the hospital and the patient.
Whether preparing to deliver a baby, are seeking support for gynecological cancer, or receiving treatment from our highly acclaimed Breast Health Centers and Programs and Notkin Breast Cancer Recovery Program, women in our region know that at CPMC they will be fully cared for as individuals with unique lives and personal needs.
