The 52nd Annual Debutante Ball
The 52nd Annual Debutante Ball took place on June 18, 2016 at the Westin St. Francis on Union Square, hosted by the Women’s Board of CPMC Foundation. The Ball was very successful, raising $200,000 for programs at CPMC. As the 2016 beneficiaries, the Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) will receive $160,000 and Child Life Services will receive $40,000.
A record thirty-five young women participated in this time-honored celebration of tradition, community, and philanthropy. Women’s Board president Kathryn Peyton Brown and CPMC CEO Warren Browner, MD, MPH addressed the 750 guests, and CPMC Foundation Board of Trustees co-chair Bob Tomasello announced the debutantes. The sold-out event, co-chaired by Women’s Board members Stacey Dobos and Jacqueline Erdman, raised money and awareness to benefit programs at CPMC, including the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit led by Terri Slagle, M.D.
Since 1964, the San Francisco Debutante Ball has raised millions of dollars for patient care programs and special projects at CPMC. CPMC is truly grateful to the Women’s Board for this enduring commitment to philanthropy.
