The Institute for Health & Healing’s Celebrating Science & Soul was held October 15, 2014 at the Terra Gallery in San Francisco and raised $300,000. More than 200 guests were in attendance to honor Abraham Verghese, M.D., professor of medicine at Stanford University and New York Times best-selling author, with the IHH’s Deep Medicine Award. Also honored was Walter (Buzz) Stewart, Ph.D., vice president and chief research & development officer at Sutter Health’s Research Development & Dissemination division with the Pioneers in Integrative Medicine Award.
