CPMC Foundation: Our Leadership
Doug Nelson, President, CPMC Foundation
Message from the President
Every day brings new opportunities to do good.
Looking back at our recent accomplishments, I am struck by something I think is unique about CPMC: the ways our programs combine the latest, most high-tech medical and scientific advances with truly sensitive, individualized human caring.
To cite just one example, we offer breast cancer patients access to the latest diagnostic technologies and state-of-the-art treatments. CPMC's Breast Cancer Program, including the Breast Health Center, is certified by the American College of Surgeons and is one of an elite group of facilities in California accredited by the American College of Radiology as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence.
This clinical superiority attracts more than 40,000 patients to our breast care programs every year. But when they come to CPMC, they find much more than medical and technical excellence.
Through our Notkin Family Breast Cancer Recovery Program, patients and their loved ones receive counseling and support to help them navigate every step of the emotionally challenging process of receiving cancer care. And those services are provided completely free of charge.
CPMC is able to take this comprehensive, whole-patient, whole-family approach in all of our programs because of the generosity of our donors. With your continued commitment, we’ll make 2017 more productive and successful than any previous year in our history.
Meet the Chairs: Sloan Barnett And Bob Tomasello champion our cause with exemplary leadership.
