The Power of Personalized Care
At CPMC, we offer exceptionally high-quality services in nearly every medical specialty, including obstetrics, pediatrics, neurosciences, orthopedics, surgery, emergency care, and transplant. What distinguishes us from other medical centers, however, is that we deliver this care in a compassionate, personalized manner. We learn about our patients so that we can empower them as an active part of the healing process. And thanks to your philanthropic support, our compassionate care is available to everyone in our community: we served 21,000 Medi-Cal and 8,500 charity care patients last year.
Judged by a number of sources, our care leads to outstanding results. For instance, we were honored by Sutter Health with its 2012 President’s Award for Quality — a remarkable accomplishment because the award’s criteria put us at the very top of the nation for patient care outcomes. A recent issue of the AARP Magazine featured us as one of the safest hospitals in the country. And we were one of only six hospitals in all of California to receive the 2012 American College of Cardiology Foundation’s Platinum Performance Achievement Award for heart attack care. Our transparent approach to quality and safety means that we are one of the few hospitals in the U.S. to issue an annual Quality and Safety Report Card — and we won’t get straight A’s until we’ve earned them.
As we look to the future and imagine CPMC in the year 2020 and beyond, we know that your visionary philanthropy can catalyze even greater accomplishments. Whether your gift launches an innovative clinical program, funds research to develop crucial new treatments, or endows a fellowship to train young physicians, your investment in our mission can have a profound effect on the entire community.
Patients come to CPMC expecting high-quality medical services. But they leave us impressed because not only do we care for them, we also care about them. This extraordinary caring is made possible by your generous support.
Wishing you good health,
