Anna's Story
"After getting diagnosed with ASD, I became very nervous and scared to the reality of undergoing open heart surgery. My cardiologist recommended Dr. Black as the surgeon and after doing some research and speaking to some people, I made an appointment to meet with him. He provided my husband and I with the trust, confidence and security that we needed. I felt more at ease on going through the surgery.
During my hospitalization, Dr. Black was very attentive toward my needs, always making sure that I was comfortable and with minimal pain. I actually felt very good almost immediately, besides some pain and discomfort from the surgery.
I left the hospital three days after surgery and I was out shopping the next morning. The most impressive thing for me was going up the hill to my home and no longer feeling short of breath. I cried and looked at my husband as I said, “I can’t believe that I lived like that for 29 years and didn’t even notice,” referring to the many times I felt tired and short of breath during normal activities. I would like to thank Dr. Black for renewing my life and for returning to my family a healthier, happier and more energetic Anna."
Thanks,
Anna M. Friedler
